Abstract
Medical emergencies may occur anytime and anywhere, including in residential university settings. Universitas Darussalam Gontor (UNIDA Gontor) implements a boarding school-based education system requiring all students to reside in dormitories, making dormitory administrators the first responders during emergencies. This community service program aimed to improve their knowledge and skills in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). The program was conducted on July 28, 2026, at the Hall of Umar bin Khattab Dormitory, involving 33 dormitory administrators. Activities included lectures, demonstrations, hands-on practice using CPR mannequins, discussions, and evaluation through pre-test and post-test. The results showed an increase in the mean knowledge score from 11.6 before training to 17.9 after training. Participants with a good level of knowledge increased from 12.1% to 81.8%. Furthermore, all participants successfully demonstrated the correct BLS and CPR procedures under instructor supervision. The training effectively enhanced the emergency preparedness of dormitory administrators and may contribute to strengthening a safety culture within the residential university environment.
